6000K is the safest, although 8000K isnt so bad neither. 12000K is just...too eye catchy

i have 6000k. It isnt as bad as you would think, but i think anything more than that is just pushing it and you would probably get pulled over.

    Ohh.... Remember.

Not all HID brands have the same color ratings. Meaning a 6000k on a Bosch HID might be different from a 6000k HID from HID Cool. It differs from brand to brand.

So when buying HIDs, ask for their actual sample.

That's what I'm saying. Every company that makes HIDs may have different way labeling their "K".

Here's my 50w 6000k HIDs by HID Cool.

But based on the picture you just showed. My bulbs looks more like "5000k"

that picture is not acurate in reality, it is photoshopped with different hues...and how a picture is taken can be different than how it looks like in reality
this is a pic on my car, 6000K but it looks 8000Kish. in reality it is still more white than blue
    [IMG]

this one is actually a little more accurate since its not photoshopped in different hues
but then again, how a pic is taken by cam varies
    [IMG]

3000K is yellow yellow...usually used on fog lights
4300K is like stock...that yellowish white color
6000K is pretty much white, but with a lil hint of blue
    8000K is like light blue
    10000K is REALLY BLUE
everything above just gets purpler and purpler

^^ It's apparent from the pictures that the 4300K has the best illumination.
