cylinders 1 and 2 are damaged. i have a rod knocking. the head is screwed. i need new valve seals. and my ECU short circuited something (i forget what)

the price i was quoted for all of those to be fixed aws near 800 without labor...i can get a 1zz for 700

on a side note...the noise from starting the car was the exhaust rubbing on the front stabilizer bar.

That really scares me considering I have a pretty good amount of piston slap when I first start my car in the morning, black shit out my exhaust, and Engine ticking at cruising speeds.

when its cold the piston slap is normal but it shouldnt be doing that at cruising speeds when the engine is warmed up. id have someone tkae a look at it.

Well I bought the car a little over a year ago from a buddy of mine. They blew the original motor and replaced it with a motor with about 20K on it. My odometer reads 152xxx but im gonna guess there is around 70-80K on it now.

THE ONLY plugs that work (AWESOME) on the 98 99 1zz-fe (cause it's not the coil on plug thingy) is the copper plugs, especifically the NGK copper plugs, normal or v-power, makes no diferrence.

wasted my money testing, 4+, 2, platinum, copper NGKs.

and the ones that worked best where the cheapest, ngk...
