who has a 7th gen with 8th gen aftermarket suspension?

im trying to order some 98-02 tein s-tech springs and i wanted to see if they're the same. The picture online shows the rear springs a little too narrow for the perch. It almost looks like they would fit the the 9th gen rear struts

Nah i beg to differ, i ordered 93-97 model 7th gen springs for my car a 98 model 7th gen and they were to wide by about 10-11 millimeters so i then got the 8th gen 98-02 and they fit fine, im in Australia by the way so maybe aussie 7thgen rolla's made in 98 use the next models suspension compared to the U.S.

9th gens were neutered and got stuck with an ancient torsion beam rear suspension.

Only 7th and 8th gen suspension parts are compatible.
