Make sure it clicks in place, Would not want to loose that $$ part.

I released the plug and wire from the mounting hole (plastic clip), then you can swing it up and get to the connections easier.

Those are MY gauges. They are white with white needles. CONTRARY TO POPULAR BELIEF.... you can actually see them quite well. Obviously these night pictures show it's easy to see when lit up at night. BUT, the white on white is easy to see during the day. I've never even given it a second thought, never had trouble seeing them, no problems, no need to paint them, no worries. In fact, a lot of folks seem to think the opposite.

All i want is to go from my non tachometer setup to a setup wit a tachometer Apperently i can take everything out and plug new stuff in. But i won't still need another needle for the tachometer since i only have the mph, fuel and temp guage

You basically need a new cluster if you want the tach.

I thought for the 93-97's it was a plug and play deal, but it turns out it's not. I bought a cluster w/ a tach and installed it only to find everything working but the tach. A couple of people have told me that the base model 93-97's didn't come prewired for the tach. Anyone else with a base model ever done this conversion?

for 98-02 it's plug and play. I have heard in the 93-97's that you do have to manually connect the tach signal.
