I wanted to fix the transmission leak before hitting the track, but now I have an oil leak where the two holes in the block are from the rod being thrown. Doh! Oh well, should be back up and running with a better engine in a month or two.

Hey Vamp, I forgot since it's been so long but which turbo setup do you have? Is it stafford or is it competely custom?

Did you beef up the rods before it threw a rod? That would be a good investment.

I've got a whole new block being built right now. The only part stock on it will be the block itself. Should be ready within 2 weeks.

My turbo is completely custom. I'll take some pics of my engine once the shop's done with it. It'll have new sleeves, rods, bearings, oil pump, low compression pistons, and bored out to 1.94L.

    I'd say total (parts/labor) around $3k.

Yeah, about 3K. It cost me a little more because the crankshaft from the doner engine had a spun bearing, so I had to buy a new one.

I did, although I had to have a shop do all the welding for me.
