Not yet, I've got several swaps lined up taking me right into the end of fall, but after that I will be working on them this winter it looks like, so expect a full, high quality kit for late winter/early spring. Save your money, people ;)

This is along the lines of what some people are saying, you can buy a car for 3200 bucks that will be faster than a Corolla with a turbo. I highly doubt this will sell man.

Well, thanks for the encouragment. :)

The fact is that if the kit is available, there are poeple that would buy it. However, it's more likely that I'll build a master kit and then do a supply on demand type deal rather than keep them in stock all the time.

Thank God I can now add some reliable power to my '99 Corolla. But I am a bit confused. Is Dr. Tweak currently working on a kit for '93-'97 or '98-'02? Anyway, thanks for giving the small community of Corollas something to look forward to!

^I seriously think he's joking because of all of the previous bitchin' (auto tranny, cheap, big gain, reliability). Everything everyone wants but will never get.

whats the oil pressure on the turbo oil inlet?

what rpm does boost hit on the t3?

how much for a gt40 turbo in that kit in leiu of the t3?

dimensions on intercooler....also bar or tube/fin?

what the boost drop on the intercooler?

how much for dual piston bov, turboxs have their issues?

    EDIT:

Are you tapping the oil at the sender?

What kind of clamps will come with the IC piping?

what color silcone with come with the piping?

would a t3 ball bearing turbo be available at higher price?

is the boost set on the turbo to a reasonable psi when shipped? ie 5psi for stock injectors?

Do we know the a/f ratio after the kit is installed on a stock motor with your shipped setup, are their any lean spots?

Do we have a recommended exhuast temp and whats the safe margin on that turbo.

Any plans for a turbo heat shield?

I don't have any of the specific measurments because I haven't built the prototype yet. I will get on it as soon as people stop showing up at my shop to get swaps done, at this point I'm bookee pretty much through the end of the year.

However, the more I think about the kit the more I decide to add to it. For example, the TurboXS BOV is out since I've heard they aren't too reliable, injectors will likely be part of the package, and more work will be put into reducing the heat (such as with the heat shields). Bottom line is, it may take a while to be released, but when it is it's going to be a 100% QUALITY kit.

when building any forced induction kits these are the types of questions you need to know the answers for.. other wise its just another crap kit for the 1zz that will not run good with the motor, sure any motor can have high hp number from a turbo.... but dependability, ability to tune, you say your making a high quality ki, but almost all the parts in the kit are bargain parts. 1980's technology t3 turbo are extremely cheap, they push lower cfm at higher rotational speed than any newer gt turbo or ball bearing garret. A remanufactured 16g would probably be a better choice.

Things like the oil pressure hitting the turbo will make or break the turbos reliabilty, sure make that high hp for the month the turbo is going last on either 10psi to high pressure or 10psi too low pressure. Tapping the oil line depending on line volume can greatly increase or reduce the turbo oil inlet pressure. would you use any kinda of restrictor, maybe add 200 to the kit and have a variable speed external oil pump.

Many people have put turbos on the 1zz motors since their introduction, not to many have been good kits. Mainly do to someone who knows just enough to put together the kit, maybe do their own fabircation for some parts but not enough about the motor and actual turbo system itself to really make it a decent kit. Companies like greddy, top secret, blitz really put alot of time and money into the design and which parts, what pressure, how it will be 2 years after its installed.

If you build on a 1zz test car let us know as your testing as i will be throwing a plethora of questions your way, and you better have taps on the pre post IC piping and taps for the oil with the PSI guage handy.

If you want to spend $800+ on a turbo, be my guest. You can have any turbo you want. Get one of them Aeroturbos or whatever they're called....

Most people who spend the money for a real kit spend 4-5000 usd. They shell it out... because they have it. Labor and parts minus the turbo itself will definitely be under 2000 for the reseller. The turbo should be a qaulity unit, a gt turbo or even a triple k can be had new for a grand. You would still be making money on the kit. Yes the older t3 style turbos work and they are cheap but why settle for crap if your already throwing away a few grand into a corolla, whats another grand for a quick spooling ball bearing booster.

This community is not going to pay $5000 for a turbo kit.
