Untucking the rear wheel...

I think when the car is raised it might be a little loose but when I dropped the car is pretty tight. Also took the car to work about 30 minutes away and the ride is not too bad I think is just a little stiffer but you cant really tell and it doesnt bottom out At least on my car

Do I really have to check the spacer every 100 miles like the package says thats like almost every day for me.

If you're that worried, drill a few holes through the spacer and zip tie it to the one coil that it's sitting on.

Is that the reason why you have to check them? I'm not worried about that I thought the reason was because of the spacer wearing out.

I think it's a liability thing. They want to cover their asses in case you install it wrong.

yeh i think im gonna wire tie it to the coil that its sittin on...i dont think i will need to drill holes tho

but for those of you who picked these up at pepboys, what was the name on the packaging? and what section was it in? 'cause i never see them when i go to pep boys

this is a good thread...cause i've been lookin for something to help stop my rear wheels from rubbing...I've got an '05 with S Techs...will any spacer work?

pretty much if you can go with a polyurethane (firmer) or if you're looking for a softer setting go with a rubber, polyurethane tends to last longer though.

I need these too, after i accidentally bought 7.5" inch wide rims instead of 7" i get a slight rubbing on the back. Also since i put a sub box that weighs a 100 pounds in the trunk. Im starting to see little grooves in the tire wall where the metal rubs it. Anyways, if someone does know the name of the packaging at pep boys it would be appreciated.

its from 3A racing, blue packaging and clear front so u can see the spacer clearly in front. i saw it near the back where they keep the tools and stuff but they could put it elsewhere in other pepboys.

let me get it straight.....

this spacer thing give u less drop? so if the spring drops 2 inch and u put a spacer in, it only drops, say..., 1.75 inch now?

can you use them at the front too?

yes thats exactly what it does, except its a 1" spacer i believe, i guess u can use them up front too but usually ppl dont complain about rubbin or too low in front.

I gotta get those for my rear, especially when I want to get intrax or consider JIC Magic coilovers, if i have $1,600 for my 94 because my eibach only sits 1".....worst of all everyone (93-97 owners) Eibach does not make any products no more for us. Good job Vamp.

Well i bought those exact ones and put them on. First of all I noticed no increased riding height in the rear and very little to no difference in rubbing. I had to put this spacer so high in the springs towards to the top just to get it to hold because its not thick enough to be held in place at the bottom of the springs. Plus at the bottom, it obviously would have done nothing because the spacing between the coils is so big and the spacer is not that thick. Just to add also, i have a fully stock suspension and the only reason i used these was because my rims are 7.5" and i have a huge speaker box in trunk so i get rubbing on bumps with people in the car.

Seems like it works better on aftermarket springs then.

What about installing it under the springs?

I just bought those but have not instaled them yet. Waiting for my Blisten struts to come in tomorow. I'll probably install everything this weekend. i'll post before and after pics and how the install went.

you have stock springs on so wut did u expect? ur stock spring's coils are already far apart so theres no way u can simply use that to raise the car, this is really a great add on for lowered vehicles at least for me so far cuz it has prevented rubbing.

i have these on my stock 99 corolla's springs. has stiffened up the springs very well and i haven't had a problem with rubbing since. I tried the rubber spacer but as one pointed out the stock springs are too far apart. with these you can adjust the height you want. if you're worried about the clamps falling down just add more nuts between them .
