    Bypass Valve

If enyone knows how S/C work they will know its a kind of forced induction. On a S/C the pressure needs to be released somehow. In a turbo kit there is called a " blow off valve" which basicly does what it says. A Bypass valve does the same thing , however a bypass valve is always relieveing pressure when at 3,000 or higher. Sound is awsome. If you notice that there is no wined sound on our S/C's? thats because our bypass vale is internal. Get a tech to make it external. My TRD Rep has told me about a kit that can fit, from the tacoma's with minor mods to it. And yes I have been workin for Toyota for like 3 years now. I need a digital camera, I really really do.

What's minor modification.............sounds like a pretty cool addition to the supercharger. Also how much does this bypass valve run.

I like to know more about the TRD external bypass valve too. Could you give us more detail on how that works and installation, part number? Are there any documentation on it? I am interested... :)

    Does it help with performance?

    Bypass Valve

Looked for a pic, couldnt find it. I gatta get me one of those digital camera's. I get to see some crazy @$$ stuff from Toyota but no Camera. Anyway, Serves as the same purpose as a Blowoff valve on a Turbo. One of the major downfalls of a Supercharger is the noise. Especially TRD. I asked my rep from TRD USA and he said that supercharger is specifically designed to improve torque and be silent. People that are looking to improve horsepower need to move onto the XRS, People who actually want to beat other cars off the line and on the highway need TRD. I know its a crazy statement but I guess it works.

    FYI - 2004 Corolla S/C vs. 2004 S2000 = 2004 Corolla S/C ( by 2 cars!)

I am very happy about that. I pushed my luck with a 350Z , LOL not a very good idea!

Eh don't feel bad Trd is expensive. I just got the Cai then I'm doing minor cheap stuff like painting the side moldings. Then make it all perdy then make it go "zoom-zoom". Enough at least to make me feel anxious to drive my car just to hear the car make that nice turbo sound and to hear the waste gate when I shift at high Rpms :p

Almost forgot, you can get a 3zz engine. It's a tad on the expensive side  . 8 grand+, but if you send in your 2zz to Trial they'll send you a 3zz. Although the engine doesn't include some of the stuff that aren't manditory, but are a reallly good idea to have. So if you want a 3zz but it in the price range of me getting the 3SGTE because they make them for the Celicas and they aren't exactly the same engine bay wise to the rolla
