ok... well i think i am going to just deal with the car the way it is till i can find a set up that is in good shape and i will do it. I guess i will be taking the car up north to see how it does on the hills and stuff.

If you melt your HFC then it's running really really lean.

The only thing I don't like about that kit is that it only includes a reflash and not the complete Hondata. You would definitely want to get the full Kpro. Other than that it looks like a solid kit. You get what you pay for.

If you're planning on spending that much, I'd wait and see how the Kraftwerks supercharger setup turns out. That new Rotex supercharger is good stuff. Plus it comes with intercooler and new intake manifold.

Well you can't beat that. I would get water injection too. You just can't beat the benefits of having that on a supercharged engine.

You could use a 9th gen cold air intake on our cars. Just gotta make the hole bigger that the stock intake tube goes through

You don't need an intercooler or aftercooler if you have H20 injection

Same affect it would on a turbo motor.. All it's doing is cooling the boosted air. Like an air to air radiator.

Also, you can't use an intercooler/aftercooler with that CT supercharger. It's a manifold type of supercharger. The outlet of the supercharger goes directly to the engine. No place to put one. Water injection is your only option

Hmm. You're probably right. From the design it looks like how the TRD supercharger mounts on.

Air to Air intercooler works like a typical radiator you know of. Air passes through the fins and cools whatever is flowing through the internals of the radiator/intercooler..

Air to water uses water to cool the internal media.

You're an I.T. guy. It's sorta like seeing the water cooling systems for the CPU chips in high performance computers. Instead of just using an air to cool through the heat sink

Right, The cooled coolant will absorb the heat of the compressed air going into the engine and send it back to the radiator.

This is from a Comptech system but should be identical. Pretty good stuff. Haven't seen this setup yet.

You only need super stiff mounts if your always racing and SHIFTING HARD. If you get on the power smoother, then you don't need stiff ass mounts.

The Catalytic converter will Melt if you run too lean or too rich. They're made to run at 14.7 a/f ratio. Too rich of a mixture means there's too much unburnt fuel leaving the engine and getting burnt inside the catalytic converter, melting the honeycomb.

Too lean of a mixture, will raise your EGT (exhaust gas temp) and will also melt the honeycomb of the cat.

But to finally answer your question. I don't know. I could only imagine that people who are melting their Cats are either.

A. Have a very shitty tune where under normal AND boosting conditions, the engine is running too lean or rich.
B. They are racing for long periods of time at once with the same too lean or rich condition.

If this is your daily driver and you're going to tune it properly, doesn't have to be perfect, just properly. And you'll smash on it here and there. You should be fine.
