Automatic is better for boosting anyways... especially with paddle shifters!

Says the guy with an n/a 2JZ :D

But really though, out of true autos (not talking about SMGs here), I think BMW has the best ones. My GF and I drove an E60 with an auto, and it was the best auto I have driven to this day. All four of our cars now are manual though :).

Building an e36 is not worth all the trouble, put a ton of money into maintenance and tuning though it sure would be a sweet project!

YEAH YEAH YEAH.... I KNOW. I said it back when I had an n/a 7afe as well LOL.

I'm telling you, I will not die happy until I've boosted or swapped an engine. It's on my bucket list haha.

Come through and help with my 1J swap, it will be sweet. I'm toying with the idea of getting a project car in northern VA, to help incentivize me to visit my parents more often. Interest?

Your gonna have a project car on the opposite coast? Just so you can see your parents more? I'm not sure I want to have a part in that scheme hahaha

I'm about to lift the inside rear here I think. This is a smooth 120° left hander being taken at about 80-85 mph.

Hey, I've got some TRD parts on my car! I'm a wannabe Toyota Racer Developer lol.

You, however, are doing the real-deal racing development. You're our only real "TRD" member here, I'm gonna pose.

We all came here because at one point, we liked our Corollas. That's it and that's all!

Here are some vids from my second event at Thunderhill. Saturday was the standard CCW with cyclone, and Sunday was CCW with bypass. Bypass sounds more boring but there is a monster hill and off camber turn that makes it scary as hell, but really fun when you start getting the right braking and line.

    Best run from Saturday:

    Sunday run 5:

    Sunday Bonus run:

All in all, I did about 7 seconds better than last time.

    Hang loose!

Hate to say this, but I'm still running my Thermal R&D. The TRD exhaust is for if I get a ticket and/or Laguna Seca, which has a 92 dB sound limit. The TRD exhaust though, no doubt, is also sexy. I doubt we'd be able to hear a TRD over the wind though.

It's all part of the game. As a slow car/driver myself I am pretty conscious of it and let people by. The worst is when you get someone in a good car with a huge ego, who will refuse to point by a less capable vehicle. Most people are good in this club though.

Seems like you guys blame the Corolla for all the time and money you dropped into the platform. Not the Corolla's fault!

Yeah I know, if my post communicated otherwise, my bad! Thanks for the support! Everyone on here seriously used to love their Corolla and it showed.

But really though, if I was trying to be nasty, I would have asked you if you really thought saying JK guys in huge letters made it OK to say what you said in someone's track thread. No worries!!

Yeah, you take a lot of shit for your car, but hopefully it is all in good fun. I'm glad you keep doing what you want to though, as long as nothing is half assed! Maybe we'll see those kinds of days again but there will be fewer and fewer 8th gen owners everyday.

Hey, I loved my Corolla until it died the second time... I sure got lots of flak for all the money and work I put into it. I still love the Corolla, which is why I put the J/K on there. Well, and because you're the last person who I'd think had a slow Corolla lol. That's why it was extra huge, because I meant 0 percent of that, just cracking a bad joke.

Yep, been running this since 2003. Feels right at home on the track, although at times it is a bit too loud. Those times are when the police are visible.
