    Sucks - maybe he used the wrong lugnuts to hold the wheels on. Wrong seat type, wrong thread pitch, etc. Did look like early on in the video that left rear had a couple of studs sheared right off.

    probably becasue he didn't tech in with those same wheels. We were talking about that video on a local board yesterday. The driver got in a hurry and got careless.

    hmm at our region you are not allowed to change any parts after tech because we make sure you are running in the correct class before we let you grid. Otherwise someone could tech with Azenis for STS and switch out to Advan R compound right before they run.

    Around here people can tell by looking if you are cheating and will toss you out of the competition on thy ass. Lots of guys drive in on street tires and switch to a dedicated set before running although that usually happens here before tech time comes. As far as those guys and the FD, I have no idea. We figured they allow you to tech in before you swap tires.
