On the mustang thing, the new gen mustang's are heavy and feel laggy coming off the line. I got the chance to take a Rousch Stage 3 and a Magna-Charged 06 GTO out one day. The GTO had the balls. The Mustang had the soft ride.

To just sort of, end it all... I think "ricer" is the term used when somebody does very flashy "wasteful" modifications that destroys the "clean" look of a car. JspexAE102- tons of mods, but kept it stock looking~ most people even here would do at most, lips, TRD spoiler, exhaust, clear corners while "ricer" was coined when everybody decided altezza lights was the thing to get along with their "streetfighter" style ludicrous spoilers that was 8 inches tall above their trunks and did nothing to their car. Except stickers of manufacturers they didn't even have parts from, each sticker added about 2.5 horses.

Not everybody here is aimed at creating a 500HP dragster,"go american!". Some people just want an extra bit of power, and some just like tuning, and getting a bit of handling or styling out of a car. Sadly, Fast and the Furious, the first one at least, got Americans into flashiness, unfortunately, Initial D couldn't produce its effect.

When I think of "ricer" I think of a 17 y.o. kid driving a beat up 10 year-old Honda Civic (with faded paint and at least one body panel in primer) who is trying to look "cool" by adding a fart-can muffler, eBay taillights, intake and strut bar, wheels and tires worth more than the car itself, and a big stupid-looking but totally non-functional wing on the back.

A "Ricer" is the driver, the car, or the combination of the two.

One or two eBay items doesn't necessarily make you a ricer if the rest of your car is pretty cool. It's when you over do it that it starts to slip off into Ricedom.

What former US Supreme Court Justice Potter Stewart once said about pornography can also be applied to ricers: "I may not be able to define it, but I know it when I see it."

I don't even consider the altezza tails to be ricey. I would say giant wings and led washer nozzles are ricey. The point is, everyone has their own opinion. It is about customizing your ride. If we all did the same shit, it wouldn't be custom. Im sure every one of us has something on our car that someone else would consider ricey. To each is own. We should be supporting each other instead of knocking each other. It is one thing to give an opinion and another to criticize.

mine are all red. and you know i don`t give a F what HATERS SAY. the worst ones are the people that say your car looks good to your FACE and behind that persons back the truth comes out because thy are Cowards. And there are alot of them around even on this wedsite. i`m a grown man and never been afraid to tell someone how i feel , what can that person really do to me ???run there Mouth , We all do that , :lol in the same way that i don`t hide my work and want to help others with their cars. who care`s if the rolla isn`t the best car to work on or doe`s not have a great platform . i can name a sh@t load of other cars that are no differant even American cars that are the same as the corolla and people have done amazing work .Real People respect the time and creativity that was put into it , that is what makes this world great, for the people that just do it to make this world move forward, keep doing your thing.
