    okay, ima pick up a super deal.... i got offered a ae86 for 450 bucks... all it needs is a starter.... everything is clean, clean title, straight body...............but it hasnt been registered in 2years......in estimate how much am i looking into to get it updated??? any ideas

    I guess it depends on your state, but get the car running before you register it. You don't want to have a project car in your driveway or garage that's registered and you can't even drive it on the road.

    I don't think it matters how long its been since it was last registered. It should be the same as if you bought a car that was currently registered.

    you will need to call the dmv and get the cost to register. if you give them the vin number they can tell you what the fees will be. if i remember correctly, the fees will be based on if the registration was canceled correctly or if they were just delinquent on the payments which will mean late fees.
