Gold, you should drive 160 MPH on the freeway, and when a cop pulls you over be like, "officer, my speedo only says 091 MPH!"

    :please:

Here are the rest of the pictures from the work I did over the weekend.

Mounted the new sub and amp and hooked everything up

Put everything back together, looks very clean! And I've got my entire trunk space back! I had to mount the strut bar off center, but it is what it is. I suppose you can see the 5000k LEDs as well, never took a pic of them before.

Back up front, I installed the "carbon-fiber" TRD decal. I actually like this a lot, more than I thought I would.

While I was at it, I put in a bunch of #74 LEDs in the indicators. 4 blue ones in all the green lights (and one in the high beam spot) and 4 red LEDs.

And over to the middle, everything is cleanly installed. ScanguageII up top, and Avic D3 below.

    Driving mode at night:

Everything works great! Well except for the sub, it barely puts out any sound for some reason. Otherwise, the stereo sounds MUCH nicer with this harness and headunit, and even gets a lot louder. Sounds OEM again. The Scanguage is cool as well. I still need to read the manual for the Pioneer, but so far, it's like a dream come true after using the old POS for so long lol.

Why would the MPG reader go all the way up to 80MPG? That would only be possible if you were pushing the car the whole time.

Yeah it's usually down at 20 lol. But the Scanguage goes up to 9999! I see that sometimes haha.

Well I've officially decided that my new amp is not going to work. Time to throw it away and get another!

Well, maybe nothing was wrong with it after all.... I think I fixed it. I don't know if I really did, but I found that one of the settings boosted the speakers AND cut the sub.... changed that setting, and BOOM sub.

yeah I finally have the "Lexus" OEM sound back. The stock sound system is quite sensitive and weird, usually if you replace one thing, you have to replace it all. But if you want to use an aftermarket stereo with the stock amp and speakers, you need a special wire harness with a little computer built in. I had the "cheap" version before, and it sounded like crap and didn't get very loud. But the new $250 wire harness sounds just like OEM and gets really loud!

Stock amp? I guess the car has a stock sub?

The stock amp powers the 8 stock speakers! No "sub" though.

One of the many cool things about the Avic D3 is I can put my own screen images!

So I made and uploaded a few.

    This is my startup screen:

I also made this one, but it's just "flat" white, the one above has a 3D look to it and fills up the screen better:

So I didn't use that for anything. But I also made this one:

But I didn't really like it as the startup screen, so I made it the background for the normal operations instead.

Pretty cool! I love it lol.

Yeah I'm not using that picture lol. When I made it, I didn't exactly remember what the phrase said, so I made it up. I later found the proper phrase and used that one.
