I found your thread on TS doc about ripping the guts out of a pre-07 Tundra and filling it out with the 5.7, tranny and drive line.

Any more thoughts on this project? My truck is paid off this year, so within two years I'll be looking to do something wild and crazy to it. Including some sort of solid axle on the front.

So far the possible issues (aside from the obvious cost) is do the mounts match up, even close? What's the difference in the rear axles? I heard something to the effect of the traction control is electronically controlled and couldn't be disabled. I also heard something that the axle in the 07+ is about 6 inches wider than our 00-06?

Let's brainstorm Mr. Tweak.
