well, I personally see going from Toyota to Hyundai as a downgrade, although they are getting better nowadays.

As far as modding....if you think finding parts for a Corolla is hard at times, I can't see an Elantra having a large aftermarket following.

i just want it to look nice...not worried about how fast it will go or aftermarket parts...plus, ive already found every part that i need (Body kit, struts, and coilovers)...im reusing my rims since they have the same bolt pattern as my corolla did...but once again, like ive said before its not for sure yet...like im still lookin into other cars including corolla's....

haha, Honda's have too musch stuff for them and are too common in the tuner world. even finding a kit is a bitch to do because there are so many of them and its hard to pick unless you have ur mind set on it. the elantra is okay for something you plan on leping for say about two or three years because after that its going downhill, regarless of the warranty, probabaly because that is the only thing going for it.but besides that the built quiality is no match since Toyota and other makes are finally starting to come out better than before. between a Hyundai and a Kia i'd take the KIA since its cheaper, built on the same platform of the hyundai's and are of the same underpinnings overall and have the same warranty and pretty much drive the same only minor difference is that you get more engine noise out of the KIA.

The unanimity of deciding against a honda in this thread is just priceless. I think the Elantra is a good car but i'd find a used corolla in that range or even a prism??

they do. and if you compare a Toyota to a VW in that sense the toyota will have little or no problems and the VW will finish all the paper in the world printing out what the hell the problems are.
