Oh well, maybe one day they will realize the benifits of merging the two boards.

Its over people. Two boards are going to stay two boards for now. Maybe in the future.

    Why was this post ignored?
    He has a good point.

IMO if David started the whole "vvti forums" community, any other board who copied off his original board should be merged with his board, not the other way around (that is if everyone agrees about the merging idea)

Some of you said it seems that David doesn't care about the board anymore ... well if you feel that way then help him out! Merge the board into one and help him out in making the Corolla community back together again. I'm sure he'll be happy to have you as super mods or mods.

    I'm sure you'll agree with me that without vvti.net, there won't be vvt-i.net :)

ps: Hope you won't take this post as an insult or a negative statement toward this board. I support and a regular on both boards.

I understand how they wanted it to be merged with this board....the server that vvti.net has been on hasnt been dependable. Vortex's server has been running smoother, and faster.

David is in the process of transferring everything over to a faster, and more dependable server. So the past issues shouldnt be issues anymore. David has also said that he will be involved more often now. Either way, the mod team over there has changed, and is more dependable as well. The mods before werent doing a bad job...they just didnt have the time to devote to keeping an eye on things.

David wasnt too thrilled with this board taking the same name that he started with. And even from the beginning, this was called "the backup board". Both boards have a life of their own, and a good member base. Having two boards isnt the end of the world. For those that think it is, pick a board and stick with it then. Otherwise, complaining about it is uneccessary.

Once the transfer is done at vvti.net, and things get running again, maybe this subject can be brought up again. Until then, lets drop it and put it to rest for a while. Im all up for a merger, as long as both boards are "meshed" together. If that does happen though, Im going to slap the first person that complains about their post count...lol. I see no reason to make this into a "competition".

there is no competition... there is history. history kept repeating itself that vvti.net was undependable and unstable. vvt-i.net has had a 100% uptime and flawless performance (aside from a few admin blunders *cough* CB which only lasted a minute or two) I have nothing personally against David or vvti.net - I just don't like unreliability.

True, neither do I, but I dont see the point in the snide and sarcastic remarks all day long, every single day.

"My board is better than your board" mentality. Its obvious that even though vvti.net has been unstable, the members are still there. The post counts are the same between both boards. Thats my last comment on the subject.

yeah... *shrug* honestly... i don't think its been as general as ' my board is better than your board ' from this end... I truly hope that David gets vvti.net up and running stable and can keep up with it. I personally don't have a problem with both sites running.

I don't think it's a matter of being stubborn or not. If I were him, I would do the same thing too.

Like e_andree said, I thought this board has always been the "backup board" ?

How did my thread end up the official stickey'd "Bash VVTi.net" thread?

    Closed.

I've got no problem with vvti and I never will, I'm just looking out for the community because I want it to stay together and continue to grow, and unity is power. The merge isn't going to happen because a few people are putting themselves ahead of the rest of the community. What else is new, it's the story of human civilization after all. Carry on.
