The one for the '93-'97 will be out quite soon. I talked to a guy today about a '93 Corolla and I should be picking it up THIS WEEKEND. Then I'll get cracking as soon as I get some of these swaps out of my garage :)

    I'd prefer a turbo over a swap -- much more torque. :)

I'm going to try my best to pick this up when it comes out. I have all my friends jealous at the thought of my 200hp 2400lb turboed Rolla.

Sheeiit. You better find the station with the cheapest premium and stock up on that too, because gas can be outrageous sometimes.

Dr. Tweak, I have to say, this is quite the service you are providing the Corolla community with, props to you! And that is a good price for a Turbo Kit...

Not this week -- I'm sharing the driving with my family on the way up..but you can check out the other car if you want.. ;)

At the moment, I can't really afford to drop a couple thousand on anything, unless you have an awesome payment plan or something..lol :p

Can I still use your car as a test car? Then maybe I'll give you the parts for cost or something like that... ;)

When will you be up here?

I'm leaving on Saturday the 7th..stopping in PA..should be up by the 11th of May. I'll be up for about 10 days..if you still have my cell #, feel free to give me a call -- or if you PM your #, I can call on the way up..I'll probably be bored to death..it's a long drive up there.

I'd love my car to be used as a test car -- the only problem is paying for it. :( Airline tickets are cheap, though -- so I might be able to drive her up sometime this summer..fly back, and try to find a better/second job to pay for parts. Heck, the clutch won't even need replacing after boost.. ;)

Looking at this fall probably. It would be sooner but I'm getting so many swaps that I'm just booked... I'm going to have to start saying no so that I can work on this stuff. Either that or quit my job and go fulltime :D

A good upgrade would be to a Garrett GT28RS (if you needed ideas) it shouldn't have much lagg being a BB turbo. and you can say you have a 'Disco Potato' under the hood :D

The GT28 would be the choice for this engine, and would be a fantastic turbo. But yeah, can you say $$$$$

well dang. if I had the money I'd soo do it.. a BB turbo would make a small displacement motor like ours pretty fun.. very little turbo lagg.

I've seen used or rebuilt ones for around $800. And yes, if you had the money, it would be worth it. It not only spools better, but it's far more efficient as well (more than 80% in the middle island) which is fantastic.

you could usually pick up a low milage mazdaspeed protege turbo (Garrett GT25) for around 700, best of all the internal wastegate is already set to ~6 PSI.. but i would get a external tial 38mm anyday. Bad thing about BB turbos is they're not rebuildable.
