    Hello all..

I'm new here so pleease be nice =]

Right, well basically i'm getting a new head unit for my Corolla (1994) and was wondering whether or not you need any adaptors in order to fit an aftermarket head unit.

The head unit i'm getting is - http://www.caraudiodirect.co.uk/son...7e3680b7bc9244f

And i've found the following adaptors for Toyota corolla's... do i need them?

Personally, I wouldn't go with Sony head units. Can you get Kenwood or Pioneer over there across the pond? :)

well the only reason i was going with that head unit was because it was relatively good value and had all the features i needed.. can get Kenwood and Pioneer too..

what are your opinions on the adpators? do i need them?

you'll need one for the wiring harness, and you'll need a bracket/bezel. if you can find a kit that's specific to your gar, i'd opt for that.

Sony stuff is OK, but you can get better for about the same price.

To get to the radio do the following:

    1. Pull the black plastic knobs off of the climate control switches. There are 4 of them.

    2. Pull firmly on the plastic panel big plastic panel that surrounds the radio. You can put a screwdriver or other tool between the dash and the panel to pry it out, but be careful.

    3. Unsnap the connections of various wires attached to the panel. Then you should be able to remove the plastic panel completely.

    3. Unscrew the radio from its brackets. Voila!
