    Just an update...
    I've been having problems with the light dispersion, it needs to be even without hot or cold spots. Next thing to do is use CAST acrylic, instead of calendered acrylic. I believe this has some effect on how the light is diffused through the glass. The first prototype looked great, with one LED the light traveled allmost all the way around the ring. It was also CAST, the preceding prototypes were calendered. Maybe a wider projection angle LED is in order, we'll see.

    All this week I am going to be busy as hell getting my house ready for drywall. I hope to at least try a few things during my lunch break at work.

    You're still waiting for a set of headlights?!? I may live in Hawaii but if that's the case, I'll just go to a fricken junkyard and pick up a set from there!... I'll see how much it is and how much it is to ship...

    Your right, that would be good. Well, I may shift my entire design plan to a different style of ring so that I could incorporate fiberoptic cable. Then we would have the light source OUTSIDE of the sealed headlight. If it burns out you can change it, or if you just want to change the colors! I hope this turns out nice... I was thinking about trying some UV LEDs, but didn't want to seal them in just in case I didn't like it. If I can get the fiberoptics to work out I can try the UV light without the hassle. I think duplex 1/8" fiberoptic cable might do the trick. Feed a cable into each end of the ring.

    Well, back to the drawing board.

    Yeah, but there is only one halo, but two lights. I would like to see a halo for the high beam, too, for a total of two halos in each side. THere are those cheap headlights, tho, but they *suck*

    December '05 Update on Angel Eyes...

    I'm still trying to find a better way to do this. There are some hotspots in the ring. I don't know how undesireable that really is or not. It think it looks ok, but some people might not like it since real angel eyes are evenly lit. (from what I've seen anyways.)

    did u make that little piece of plastic that you use for the halo? if so..I think u might have just stumbled across something that'll make you alot of money...I like that idea better than the other halo's out there...a light goes out..replace the light..not the housing...

    I think I'm going to leave it like that. Most people said that it would look better if the ring ended at the top. Similar to BMW.
