New 98-02 Angel Eyes project...

Well Statik was waiting for me to find headlights from a junkyard and that was a nogo so I ordered L and R headlights for 01-02 and they came in today.I will send them out to him as soon as I can.

Damn, I coulda sent him my old headlights, Now i got HIDs projector retrofits, i still have my old headlights sitting in the garage. If you want them to prototype, ill send them to ya.

So now we just need to sit back and wait.

yeah they should be here soon. I'll be doing the 01-02 headlights first since I have a capable donor right now. I'll work on one year at a time. The kit should consist of two one piece angel eyes laser cut from 1/4" cast acrylic with engraved "ridges". Heat shrink will conceal the LEDs, NO ELECTRICAL TAPE! I am considering amber, white, and blue LEDs to start. I may make these for both high and low beam. It may look weird with angel eyes on both, I'll just have to see. You all will get pictures and updates while I am working on things. I will depend on everyone for feedback.
This is somewhat un-chartered territory for me, but I feel confident that in the end I'll have a decent product. ... and right now I'm eating some really good chicken and wild rice soup... mmm

98-00 won't be feasible for angel eyes... when you look at a set you'll understand why real quick...

and as for people who could've been donors...

if anyone has a set of 01-02 headlights that are in good condition and are willing to sell pretty cheap, lemme know.. i'm in the market...

and i wanna see a set when your done.. if they look good i might buy a set from ya...

Is there any possible way to make them projectors as well? hehe I've been dying waiting for a good set of headlights for the 98 corolla. The existing ebay angel eye projector lights are ass ugly and don't project worth crap. Plus they're black. A clear set would be nice. Clean and clear looking.

I would also be interested in this ... but what would the price tag be?? or you wouldnt know until you finish it?

yeah but the ones online are crap if you've been looking. The only options for 98-00 corollas are the black ugly projectors that don't project and the smoked headlight/corner sets which don't appeal to a lot of ppl.

angel eyes please ............................ i went on ebay to check them out and i saw none .. i wonder if you could actually take a pair of LEXUS headlights and use them on the corolla ...

I don't need ugly angel eyes, I need some nice looking projectors. Something like the euro clear projectors civic's have. HIDs are great but with projection, it would be 10x better.

Sounds good. I saw a diy on vamps site. I think it was only a halo around the high beam though. I don't know if I can do it from scratch but if I had the parts provided yea. I'm interested.
