Tried it, fog lights won't work now. I checked the fuse. I tripped a DRL relay on my 99 and the headlights quit for awhile, but they came back on. Fogs aren't coming back on though. I'll have to get a relay from Toyota tomorrow.

ON mine, there were 3 identical relays back there, so if one "broke" I could test it with one of the other ones to make sure it was broken.

    so the relay is fine.

You sure the fuse is OK? You hear stuff clicking when you turn them on/off?

I guess it's ok. Not sure why their not working. I'll check the fuse again.. The only one I checked was the 15a in the cab. I believe the only clicking was when the low beams and high beams were turned on.

Yeah, the fuse on my car is inside. It was fine? Or did you have to replace it.

And so that I'm not confused, I believe you are trying to do two things at once? You're trying to do this relay thing, and also trying to get the OEM switch installed?

The fuse was fine. I already have the oem switch. It's the ring on the stalk that turns up and down.

It flicks on and off but the lights won't turn on. I have stock fogs and they worked before I tried this. I don't have the wire on the relay anymore. I didn't have a continuity tester to find an accessory wire so I hooked the other end of the wire up to the battery to test it.

The fogs worked with the OEM switch? Sounds like there's something wrong with the wiring

Yes they worked with the OEM switch. I have no clue how they worked before, but not now. There is power in the socket the relay plugs into AND there is power at the 15a fuse for the foglights. There is no power at the foglight housing plug.

Well maybe the relay is bad after all... IDK. Maybe you hooked up the wrong pin to something? IDK. Other than double checking everything and trying another relay, IDK. IDK!

And there is power to the switch. I took the column apart to check. You think that relay is different then all the others?? When I check for juice on the switch they work and the relay clicks!?!?!?!? This is crazy. I'm thinking the switch is bad.. I dunno

If the relay clicks, that means the switch and relay are working. Sounds like power is not getting from the relay to the fogs, or from the original source to the relay.

The two 15a fuses in the engine bay block for "HL Upper or Lower" doesn't have power. I just jumped the relay from one prong to another and they come on with the parking lights. Eventually I'll get it looked at because my heat really only blows on high

What does the heater have to do with the headlight fuses?

I wouldn't think it has anything do with the headlight fuses. I'm just telling part of the story. I mentioned that I would eventually get it looked at because of the heater. Now instead of one thing not quite right, now theres two things not quite right.. Maybe I should get that looked at.. Lol

I ordered Tokico struts 2 weeks ago and and they are on backorder. Supposedly they are having a hard time importing them. There is no ETA on them and this seems to be an on-going issue with Tokico. So the wait begins..

I got KYB's. I did the rear since those have been bad since I got the car. I had to do end links too because I had to cut them. They were way too seized up to get off with a wrench.. They were trashed anyway. Now I have a light tap/squeak in the rear. I know everything is tight.
