Yeah, can't wait to install it. I saw it at the junkyard weeks ago and was undecided whether to get it or not. So when I was there today, I thought "screw it, I'm probably never going to see one again" so grabbed it. The hardest part of the installation will be getting to the two bolts that go up the side of the backrest. I'll have to use a long spanner and do quarter turns at a time. Apart from that, everything else is straight forward :)

I hit some gravel taking a turn and smashed straight into a curb. the passenger lower control arm is destroyed and many things are bent. To give a better mental image. my front mudflaps used to be touching the ground but now they are elevated about a fourth of an inch. Also my bumper doesnt fit right anymore on the passengers side. Here are some pics:

^ Damn, nasty. I'm relieved that you haven't actual crunched up the whole front of the car though (as in panel damage).

Haha, no worries man. Junkyards are good for that kind of thing. I got my ones out of a Corolla sedan (same shape as mine). They were in the rear and were hooked up to the factory head-unit, so they'll practically still be in mint condition as they wouldn't have had barely any power running through them. I'm glad I got them because the sound system sounds so much better now.

My current system consists of 6.5" front speakers (75w RMS each) and 6.5" rear speakers (90w RMS each), hooked up to a 4-channel 444w amp. So nothing overly powerful, but just enough to provide a great sounding system without giving you a headache or rattling every panel in the car [IMG]. Planning on getting some Dynamat for the doors though.

P.S. Installed the electric driver's seat today. Pics to come tomorrow :D

Bought another electric driver's seat from the junkyard today (out of another SE-G model). The motors in this one seem to be a lot stronger than my current one, so I suspect it hasn't been used much. I'm planning on just swapping over the rails and chucking out the seat. I'll keep the other electric rail for spare parts.

Also bought some other parts at the same time:

Alright, I've decided you have to lower your car about 2 inches all around. No questions asked.

Haha, thanks guys but I like the way it sits now. I don't really like it when cars are too low as it ruins the 'flow' between the tire and fender. So in other words, you can see the curve of the fender but not the curve of the wheel because it's tucked underneath, which I'm not too fond of. If I was to go any lower it would be about half an inch :)

Check out what I just bought from the junkyard :eek::eek::D:D:D...I literally gasped when I saw it (and I never gasp [IMG]). As you guys know, I've already got an Air Fantasy unit in my car which I miraculously managed to find a few months ago, so to find another one of these extremely rare parts was beyond belief. It came with the hoses, fittings and the loom. Talk about a lucky day! :D. Not sure whether to keep it as a spare or sell it. Hmm.....

    Haha, I'll try :D

Nice idea! Dunno about donating it though. They'd have to pay a pretty penny to pry this away from me [IMG]

Theoretically it could fit any car since it's a single DIN unit :). Would just need to be hooked up to the air conditioning evaporator and the blower. My brother wants it so he can install it in his Toyota Caldina GT-T but I won't let him :p
