    slotted and drilled rotors suck....

    I had them for about 6 months and they started to make my steering wheel shake when i braked....

    bought some autozone rotors for $20 2 semesters ago and still work fine....just very squeaky when cold....

    I've been to the track more than anyone else and I was running stock shoes in the rear drums. On the track you use the rear brakes even less!

    They aren't good for the track, either.

    If you want better braking, upgrade your tires. Otherwise, you'll just keep locking up or engaging ABS because your brakes are already too good.

    Cross drilled and slotted rotors dissipate heat a lot faster, but chew through pads and are completely unnecessary on the street. I had the option of going for 260mm slotted and dimpled (not drilled) rotors but decided to go with the smooth 275mm rotors as for my driving it makes more sense to have extra bite than faster cooling.

    Speaking of which, I did the 275mm rotor upgrade and twinpot caliper swap yesterday :D. Everything went to plan and the braking performance is phenomenal. It comes to a dead stop within a matter of seconds and literally throws you forward in the seat. I can brake a lot later into corners and don't have to push anywhere near as hard on the pedal for the same effect. It was definitely a worthwhile upgrade and they've been a lot of fun to drive with so far :)

    But yeah, they do dissipate heat faster, but of course, you have less braking surface with all those grooves and holes, it eats through pads, and they crack.

    So yeah, your brakes look great!!! You don't need holes and slots to look good, just nice and rust-free :)
