Lol, yeah definitely leaving the cover off. I just took pics of it on to show the comparison between the two . I'm going to buy some Meguiar's products today so I can clean/condition the leather.

EDIT: Gave the steering wheel a good clean today. Bought a product called Meguiar's Gold Class Rich Leather Cleaner/Conditioner. It wasn't cheap but worked wonders. Removed so much dirt and grime that the previous owner left behind. I'd definitely recommend it if you have leather seats, leather steering wheel, leather gear knob etc - Hell, you can even do your leather lounge suite with it if you wish

I installed some alloy foot pedals today. They are OEM pedals that came on the Toyota Altezza RS200/RS300 and the Lexus IS200/IS300. Since they're OEM pedals, they don't just get held in by bolts on the back like most aftermarket ones, bit instead they slip over the metal pedal arm just like the OEM rubber ones we get on our Corollas. The accelerator pedal was the most difficult to install as you have to remove the whole pedal arm in order to take out the split pin on the back and install the alloy pedal in it's place. A little bit of modification had to be made to fit the accelerator pedal, but the brake and clutch pedals slipped over smoothly with the aid of a little soapy water. I could have just saved my time and bought some aftermarket pedals, but they tend to come loose after a while which causes them to rattle and fall off, plus these ones looked classier since they're a genuine Toyota/Lexus part.

I've been on the look out for some Advanti Stalkers lately. They're hard to find in 4x100 with the correct offset. Wouldn't be keen on leather seats though, too sticky in summer and are prone to cracking. Never really been a fan of Broadway mirrors either. I could pick up a factory JDM air purifier but I'd probably never use it, lol.

Thanks! Nope, no plans on changing to a Sprinter front end. I like the look of my current bumper better. I was going to buy an FX-GT front bumper the other week for $50, but decided against it. Would love to find an OEM AE101 front lip though. They're very rare nowadays as they were an optional extra from factory. Either that or I'll just buy an OEM BZ Touring wagon front lip from a local wrecker

I got the car tinted 35% yesterday. The tint is called "Night Rider" and is the darkest legal tint available. I compared it to my mate's 20% tints and it's just as dark. Here's some pics:

Yeah good idea. I'd have to pay another set-up fee for the to change it (which is rather ridiculous because it's only one number being changed) but once it's set up then it's able to be used whenever. Postage would be extremely cheap too. I'll give you a yell if I get some made up

Awesome! I wasn't aware that they came out on any of the USDM models, so that's good to know. Nope, it didn't come factory on my car, but it did on the AE101 Corolla GT (basically identical to mine except it has a factory 4A-GE 20v engine and rear disc brakes). They also came factory on the AE101 Sprinter GT (basically the JDM equivalent of the Prizm, except with the 4A-GE 20v engine and rear disc brakes) and the Levin GT Apex. I've seen some non-4A-GE Australian models with them too. Since it came factory on the Corolla GT model, the little indents on the firewall were already there for the bolts, so I just drilled through and put a stainless nut and bolt on. I've got a spare one in my shed if you know anyone who wants one

Yeah this Prizm had all the options including the bluetop 4age, strut brace, alloy wheels, rear disc brakes, sunroof, tach, folding seats, automatic 3spd w/ overdrive, and all that good stuff. Bet ya that car was top of the line back in the early 90's haha. Too bad it got crushed a few weeks ago
