3.0 and the 2gr are similar in sizes. I highly doubt anyone will every attempt a v6 swap though

I was afraid of this one. The Celica in that video looks like it's struggling to move with that 2jz.

Is that engine a legal swap? Because I know the Toyota Blade has one.

Yes, it came in the Camry in 07+ so you can BAR it if it has all the emissions controls intact post swap.

Holy **** man, 0_O that is ultimate destruction. Imagine that in our 2400lbs car. I think the cost would be similar to an MR2 Spyder swap.

Hell yes, that would be nice. Although I bet a 1ZZ S/C could take a stock 2GR-FE swap. Dual vvt-i is gangster though.

You mean putting that engine in an MR-S would be the same price as putting it in a Corolla, right?

a 2gr can be legal. But would require so much to do so.

the sticker has me confused is it 2500 ?
    Added: May 19, 2013 at 7:29 PM
I would think so, since they both have the izzfe motor. We can always go cheap at carparts, cragslist, or at the eBay sites.

The 2rg- is in the 260-300 stock range

Can the 1zzfe s/c lead the way by killing the 2gr-fe with just 250hp? along with better suspension mods and transmission?

I through the 2zzge would be able do that with over 200 na

The sticker on the door jam is Not the weight of the car. That is the Safest Maximum recommended weight for the car. The curb weight of a 8th gen Corolla Starts at about 2400 lbs and goes up from there with options like sunroof, power windows, power door locks. At most, A fully loaded 8th gen Corolla is going to weigh about 2500lbs

The only way a 1zz or 2zz will beat a 2gr is to be boosted with a TURBO and hitting around 320whp. The only way you can get those numbers with a Supercharger by modifying the TRD supercharger with a bigger rotor or having a custom bigger supercharger. The TRD Supercharger is too small to go over ~220 hp reliably.

It's not just about hp. The 2gr has almost as much Torque as horsepower. A N/A 2zz can reach 200+whp but will have about 140tq.

Is the trd supercharge 1zzfe able have a head start before the 2gr kills it ? The 2gr is freaken dangerous. There's no 4 banger that can surprise or rape that motor without a reliable f/I installment. The rotrex c30-84 supercharger can hit 300 with upgraded internals. How much hp can the stock rod bears take on the 1zzfe ?

Honestly... If you got the pockets to be building a 300hp Rotex supercharger setup. Upgrading the Rods shouldn't even need to be asked.
