If you cut one coil off the Stechs there will be no problem, trust me I have had mine for 2 years on stock struts.

don't cut springs. what do you think this is? you think the guys at tein get hot metal and just coil it and ba-da-bing! you get a lowered spring?

no, a reputable company such as tein put a lot of research and development behind this. cutting the spring will flaw their design.

It seems a lot of people on here don't know the basic ABC's of car repair and proper modifications.

i've read every single hyper rev since i used to work at a place that was an authorized hyper rev dealer. you're going to find too many things that could fit your car and you wont be able to find it, in fact, most would not have heard about it and you'll become even more depressed. i would recommended not looking at those magazines unless you just want to see what whats available but you dont really want anything.

Also AE86 is really popular even today therefore you probably had better luck. not much stuff for 7th, 8th, 9th gen corollas for the US.

i have to agree with drunksaru...

and in addition, instead of heating your springs or snipping a coil off of an s tech spring, why don't you just get rid of your car and get a civic... those lower nicely

One of my buddies sister bought a saturn off a guy who didnt cut the springs.. but he heated them up with a torch to make a cheap lowerink kit. She bought the car not knowing, the wheels were soo off alignment that one of the wheels in back blew out on the inner part of the tire. She got into a car accident and got sandwiched between two vehicles. For your safety i would either save up for a coil over kit or go with something safe. a couple hundred dollars is better than a couple thousand for a new vehicle. or better yet someones life. think about it man

That's a strut bar. I don't think TRD sold many of those struts at all. I think those are custom order from TRD japan.

ohh i got an idea. just buy bigger tires or make a wheel/tire combo with a bigger diameter. that will fill up your fender gap.

seriously dont cut your springs... if you do, i might have to do what stewie does in this video.

idk about that hyper rev statement..usually if you go to a place that has japanese ties, they know the parts. theres a shop here in raleigh that has the mags and as soon as i found a part he got it imported for me. just check the right places... and if you really need something, send the guys at phantasmusa.com an email on what you need, either nam or his brother will find the part for you or give you some great advice
