Oh, you did the "park the front wheels in the gutter" trick to make it look lower.. like people who take pics of their car in grass. It's a cheap trick lol.

Fuck, that wasn't on purpose, that's just where the car naturally stopped. Wow.

How much would a legit paint job cost you? Medium red pearl is an eye catcher when it's clean and paint is good.

I got quoted about 3k. I will plastidip it for about 180 and have the option to fix the paint later. After rocking the black for a little while I'm going to use an aluminum dip, which needs a base coat of gray or black anyway.

Why not just get it painted the same color at Maaco, single stage paint

single stage will last you 3 years tops and thats if you wash it like twice every week...single stage is cheap at $100 and under for a gallon which is enough for a regular sedan...
    12.png

these guys on ebay sell any of these colors from $50-$100 price range, and no clear coat needed and you still get that glossy shine

Washing your car takes off paint. It's why I keep eleventy million layers of wax on my cars. Well I try.

Yeah you don't have to wash your car. But my Maaco paint looked great, and I mean great. There was a little orange peel to it, but you had to look close for it. No clear, but you couldn't tell. And if you get it painted the same color, just do the outside so that it matches all the door jams and stuff.

Vs pressurized water 2-3 times a week? Washing a car will dull paint over time. I wash my car in the winter. That's it. This has been a rough winter so they've seen a lot of water this year then normal. I'd probably wash the ES twice a year normally.

I always wash by hand.....I use to wash the white cavalier my dad had at least once a week. that car was never dirty. paint n clear was fine all its life.

I just never heard of washing a car will make the paint dull....maybe buffing it yes as it burns the paint

There is definitely a right way and a wrong way to wash. I completely killed the original paint on the Corolla by washing it. And you see cars all have swirl marks from washing.

Dust/dirt sitting on the outside don't affect the paint, but rubbing it in and all over by washing it sure does.

Salt is a different story, but you don't know what winter is over there lol

While I appreciate the nostalgia, the Supra lineage remains true while the Celica bloodline went sour with FWD.
