I heard this was bad for your car overall...altho convenient, it dries out, discolors, and fades plastic and rubber on your car (if you have trim pieces)...and as for your car's paint, it dries that out too much and it eventually starts cracking...when you use dishwashing soap on your hands, it does the same thing by drying it out and eventually leading to cracks in your skin...this would be the reason for swirl marks and such on your car which im sure you probably have now...you're taking a step back if you wash your car with dishwashing soap...and if you finish it with some polish or wax or something, you take a step forward....why take one step back and one step forward...you'll just end up where you left off but your finish will pay the price...

Newayz, I take my car to the car wash, use $4 in quarters and wash my car first with the soap rinse, then the normal rinse, and spot free rinse...I never use the brush at the car wash place....once I get done, i use that Tire Wet stuff on my tires and Windex on my windows...I think that if a cars wheels and windows are clean it makes the rest of the car look cleaner overall...
