Hood Liner...needed?

    So it turns out it wasn't an accident caused by previous owner. I'm gonna have it looked at this weekend.
    The oil soak is mainly at the top of the liner (toward the bumper), mostly on the passenger side. Don't know if this helps with your diagnosis.

    I still say try what we said. Take it off, clean EVERYTHING and drive around. You'll see where it comes from.

    Sup guys. Just wanted to update this thread in case anyone has this problem. In September, I removed the hood liner, cleaned the oil off under the hood and replace the PCV just in case. The valve cover gasket had been changed recently at that point so I didn't touch it. Been over a month and no oil under the hood. My brother still believes the oil was there from a prior issue that had been already been resolved. So I don't know if what I did actually 'resolved' anything but anyone with a similar problem can try what I did and see if it works for you.

    Btw, the engine bay noise isn't that much louder with the hood liner removed. It's probably 'cus my clunking struts drown out the sound lol
