No, we're not talking about those little TRD stickers that go on the fenders and trunk, his car was originally sold brand new from the dealer as a TRD Corolla. It comes with a certified sticker in the door jamb. Buying used TRD kits like you and I did doesn't make it a TRD Corolla.

I find it hard to understand how a sticker in a door jamb makes it a "real," trd corolla when all the trd corolla parts can be purchased or just swapped over to another corolla.

I mean... if you take off all the trim pieces, suspension and misc stuff... whats left? A regular corolla...

It's just an option you can have. If you a 9th gen LE and add that lip kit and the badges and whatever you could pass it off as an S but it would still always be an LE

That makes me wonder if you can change trim models on cars...

Well yeah physically no doubt about that. That's what plu was doing. He changed everything on his car to a higher trim. CE to LE I think.

But how will that hold up when it comes to selling the car value wise and vin wise?
Short of navigation, my car is far from VP trim.

I have no idea lol. Although I'd think that selling all the TRD parts off of an original car might hurt the value lol

    Hi everyone,

So its been a couple months, I fixed the power steering pump which I think I mentioned already. So a few weeks ago car was making a terrible sound from under the car, bolt/spring combo broke near the exhaust manifold. So went under the car yesterday and replaced that works good as new and quiet as a church mouse. I also purchased the bolts for the wheels which ill be putting on this weekend hopefully (pics will be taken). Now that its not summer I can get back to steady pay and will be putting more money into my little Corolla. What lil things can I do to it or add to it now? I can put a few hundred bucks into it monthly and would like to work on it before the winter. How easy is an air intake job? Any suggestions on what kind? Or any decent mufflers? Help me out here. Think I'll buy a bug guard (any suggestions on type or cheap place to buy?), and do a home tint job, next.

Well if you just made your car as quiet as a church mouse I don't think you'd want a muffler lol. eBay for the bug shields though.

Well I don't mind it being loud from the back but when its in my front seat not so much. Just wanna have some better performance and a decent muffler looks better than the rusty black one that's on there now. I like your muffler mack

So, I just noticed I have to scratches on both driver side doors... Some prick thought it would be a good idea to slam there doors into mine cuz they parked too close. Now I have to big chunks of paint missing on my doors.. I hope the person who did it catches Lou Gherigs disease. I think I might get some mud flaps any suggestions onb where to get em? I noticed they're sold in pairs? Is there anyway to get 4 kinda tired of the mud on my car, although do not look forward to snow/ice build up on those pricks come the winter.
