I don't want the Supra to come back. What Toyota needs is a new sports car with a new name. The Supra must stay a legend.

Toyota is so gay they have sweet designs in the work and money to play with. They have no reason not to put the supra back out there. If not make a fucking fast car for once toyota....omg this really pisses me off.

I wish Toyota would make an affordable sporty car with a Turbocharged 4 cylinder, with AWD as an option... they could build them 15 years ago, imagine now...

There are no V8 Japanese sports cars... what he meant was that Toyota should build a real sports car, and build it with a V8 (since most real sports cars have V8s)...

    You mean a Subaru? :D

Toyota is all about selling cheap cars to the masses. If you want a sports car from them you are better off buying from a different brand.

I gave up on them a long time ago, and even now looking at their lineup it just makes me yawn.

Now a turbo awd RAV4 would be sweet to compete with the RDX, but that will neer happen. Sad to see that Honda may be going turbo for their next lineup. Even sadder is the fact that you can get s civic with nav, but not a corolla. Go figure.

Are you referring to Toyota? Or Kia? :p

On the topic of the Supra...I don't want to be a dream-smasher or anything, but anybody waiting for a new "Supra" should just stop holding your breath. It isn't going to happen. EVEN if it did, it'd be cheaper to go out and buy a Z06 Corvette, so you might as well just do that now.

    +1.

The first production year of ANY vehicle no matter the type or manufacturer is subject to some problems.

But I think you guys who said yes missed the point. Let me extend Eric's statement a little bit.

If a Supra were to come out in 3 months for $35k, who here would actually buy one?

^^^ If it was AWD and turbo for 35K I would probably lease one, not buy it.

But I think if anything it would be around ~50K if not more.

I rather have something else for that price tag. And yes this is one of the strong reasons why Toyota is not coming out with a new Supra, no one would buy it. If it is going to be that expensive, it better have a Lexus badge on it, and then the essence of what makes the Supra a Supra would be lost. Hence my comment on how Toyota builds for the masses.

I hate wen they remake cars that they stopped makin cause they try to make it look all "futuristic" and shit like that they funna mess up the way the supra looks if they make a new one. its the same thing they did with the MR2 they made that bubbly bug eyed thing thats as small as a Mini. Company's do that idk y like they messin up the Evo in 2008 same wit the new WRX which they are makin a "Hatchback" looks more like a ugly wagon. Idk they shouldn't try to make it sooo bubbly and stuff like that classic legends like the Supra should not be remade...thats my opinion

I would tend to believe more now than a few years ago those that are saying they would buy one in a heartbeat. Only because the average age of the board members has risen, due to the long time members getting older.

But I still think only a few.....(NO MORE than 3) members of this board would actually buy one.

I sure as hell wouldn't buy one. I'll admit it. I would marvel at how cool they are and complain on here that I want one, blah blah, but really, I wouldn't be able to afford it. More than likely I wouldn't buy it if I could... :meh:
