GM says Toyota quality is down

    Honestly, I think part of Toyota's recent quality slide is simple. They're building more cars in N. America now, hoping to gain a positive image as "helping the american economy and american jobs" We all know a Japanese made Corolla has fewer problems than the same one built in the USA.

    Doesnt matter though, they're still leaps and bounds above comparable domestics. IMO they're also much better than Honda, both in reliability and quality. There are some parts of the 01-04 Civics that are just flat out cheap. In particular, the interior panels on a Civic compared to a Corolla.

    even less my dear rolla...
    sludge in the engine? big deal... sea foam treatment yearly...

    yep ever since both honda and toyota have built cars in the us they have had bit more problems than before.
