    lol I spent 5 minutes on those pics just now (inspired by Hummer's POD)

    Now that I've learned how to use my new point-and-shoot Canon, I shoot all of my pics in RAW. And I remembered to bring a tripod this time lol. I also set the ISO to the lowest setting when shooting in the dark. RAW makes the biggest difference though, that's why the pictures have a really good sharp contrast to them. Then I use Lightroom to enhance the colors, fix the stuff to make it from RAW to JPG, and add some HDR. But each picture is different, I work on each from scratch.

    Is Lightroom like Photoshop? I haven't used Adobe since about PS8 or so. Could you elaborate on:
    • Enhance the Colors
      • Tool?
      • Settings?
    • Adding HDR
      • Tool/Filter?
      • Settings?

    Um well if you had Lightroom, it would be pretty obvious. Color is stuff like saturation, and HDR involves adjusting the lights down and darks up.

    I know I don't have Lightroom because I use gimp like a cheap ass and don't steal software. I asked that question to find out if it's a replacement for Photoshop.

    So you do it all manually? Are the lights and darks adjusted with "levels?"

    It's done manually, but there are no levels. It's not a replacement for photoshop, but perhaps a smaller version of it just for picture editing.
