why did it jump to $2.55 from about $2.30...now, why did it jump to $2.69? who can tell me?

Cost of oil increases......cost per barrel has been breaking records lately. Im scared to see how high it will go

For my car alone, Im paying over 450 bucks a month in fuel.
My wife puts in about 160 a month.

SHIT... even when the cost of oil was at a record low the gas prices never dropped... it's all bullshit.

450! WTF to do you drive and what kind of job do you have that causes you to waste so much on gas. Please tell me they are reimbursing you. because that is lot of money on gas alone.

Well, our gas went up to $1.129 per Liter... which works out to $3.55 US per Gallon.. so quit ur whining :) It's funny, someone I know who lives very close to the border fills up in the states because he saves about $15~17 when filling his car :)

I know my family in DC is pissed since most of thier cars run on Premium fuel. My cousin says her Range Rover gets her only about 18 MPG on the HWY if she is lucky. Hehe she tried putting regualr fuel and the truck started to mess up on her, and she had to take it to the dealer.

right now i average about 45MPG on the Sentra with it on cruise on control at 45 mph. for some stupid reason. if you go below 40 it gets about 30 and go above 50 and it drops to about 22 to 25 mpg hit 75 mph and it get back to about 33 mpg. i tell ya this nissan sentra is a wierd car.I ususaly average 35 city and 41 hwy on the rolla and 38 in mixed driving under normal driving conditons( not flooring taking my time to accelerate, and staying at the speed limit or a bit below.Flooring it forget it, i just see the needle go down faster than anything.

damn! try writing it off on your taxes and see if that works. becasue with all those miles you put on and the money you are putting on maintence is quite a bit.

ever consider buying a VW diesel Jetta or passat or even an old school Benz, i heard they are good for driving on the interstate for regualr driving.

I still think it would be cool to convert a Corolla to run on Natual Gas and then get a Scuba Compressor to hook up to your home natual gas pipeing to fuel your car :) That would be phat!

Yeah, Ive considered buying an older TDI...Im always keeping my eye out.
Ya cant write it off on your taxes unless you are self employed and using your vehicle directly for your job.....commuting back and forth doesnt qualify.

dang that sucks, only if you could write it off woudl be cool. TDi's are cool and for a diesel the noise is pretty low and diesel usage it very low from what i have heard.

Gas here is at $2.56 unleaded....Oklahoma is trying to pass a gas tax law for five cents per a gallon to fix roads and what not....personally, i think its a great idea...i dont really care how much i pay for gas....ive already calculated that with a bi-weekly wal-mart paycheck, i can afford gas until it reaches $7 a gallon, and if that ever ever happens then i think ill just buy a bicycle....

TDI has some nice torque, but lacks on the horsepower, but thats totally typical of a diesel engine. very nice cars

holy crap. at $3 a gallon, averaging a tank a week in my tC (60 miles a day to class, plus some for work)
thats like $42 a week for gas. per month it's $168.

soon, i will be paying more for gas than i will for my car payment!, which is $203 a month by the way.

haha...........sorry man but that is funny. i actually spend more on gas than on the car payment for the accord! if gas prices were better and the accord was better on gas it would be cool but it isn't. the payment is 472 a month (not including insurance) so you can imagine about how much i spend on gas about 15 to 25 bucks every one and a half days.
