LOL the point of the me making the gtec was for it to be cheaper because crossing a border ie usa to canada cost more vs it being in california, You dont have to worry about it being just as much in shipping than the lip cost itself so you would pay roughly 110-20 shipped vs 160+ shipped, i know its not a lot but a little goes a long ways

yeah they are gonna be able to flex . and the black one is the old one. but the final is way better we did it in a sheet form vs a chopped fiber so its kind of like a kevlar weave

I meant I'd be interested to see how smooth & even he can get them, considering he's making a replica of a garbage part.

haha i got a crack in mine. i fiberglassed the back of it to hold it in one piece. all kidding aside though, it is a crappy fit. Looks crooked all the time. i gotta use some garage door seal or something to stop it from moving around and scraping the bumper.

Yeah I had the same problem with it not fitting... I mean, it was the right shape and all, but it had no defining edge to which it could align on the bottom of the bumper.

Naturally, I am cynical of how making a replica of such a bad part could turn out well.

The lip I have on the IS300 is actually very similar, nearly identical. Of course it's not fiberglass, but it's got 4 tabs on the bottom that line up with the tabs on the bumper where it bolts on underneath, so that the lip can cleanly bolt to the bumper in a fixed location. Good idea to put on the GTEC lip???

I have that same problem with my current lip, it cracked apart at the bottom, had to fix it with a patch kit I got from auto zone. Also put door sealer behind it to secure it to the bumper and keep it from riding up and down scratching my bumper.
