be careful not to get any of the glue on the glass or the chrome part, if you try taking it off it will smear, but be most careful when you pull apart the glass from the plastic, it starts to stretch like gum.

I love it when people do that to their lights.... yeah, you saved lots of money by not getting the blacked-out ones! Of course, this DIY applies to any head lights, not just the 98-00 Corolla. Did you do the corner lights too? That would be the next step.

    LOL, engine oil apple pie.

No, I didn't. I tried putting it in the oven but it won't come apart and the housing got deformed, :eek:ops and I didn't feel like doing it.

I am trying to source some PNP HID to Projector complete kit with Audi L.E.D so I can whip something really custom up, but don't trust the company selling it, they look suspicious, haha, so I only bought the Audi L.E.D to see if they are trustworthy, will order the full kit if my L.E.D arrives before end of next week, latest February 21st.

    Good lookin' out.

Yeah I heard the corner lights are a pain to do, and I think it would look strange if they're not all done.

You can buy them that way too if you need to replace them anyways.

Yeah that's a good backup, but I think the point of doing it yourself is to save money and appreciate the work you put in to your car. But as a plan, yeah you could just buy them.

You should replace them eventually anyways due to the weather blasted plastic.

Anyone have a wiring diagram for upstream oxygen sensor on an 00 corolla, for the installation of the AEM Wideband? I got it installed at a mechanic but the oxygen sensor CEL is still popping up. I am assuming this is because the signal wires have been mixed up at install. Any idea which wires are which?

I heard when you put headlights in the oven to take them apart there is a very good chance that when you are all finished you end up with condensation in there.

It's extremely dirty and mushy outside right now, i have some imperfections on the car too. I guess i will take pictures like that....who knows. I did the audi style headlight mod using the morimoto headlight led strip i got. It looks like space age tech at night....in my opinion.

    Work in progress: Pictures

Headlight with L.E.D installed. I had to use clear tape to hold down that corner light because I messed up both of my O.E.M corner lights trying to black them out. Will fix this later.......when i feel like it, haha.

This is what it looks like during the day. Mind you, paint is 8 years old.

The AEM UEGO wideband installed in gauge pod.

    Rear Hotchkis sway bar
    [IMG]

    Front Hotchkis sway bar
    [IMG]

    This needs an update, PRONTO
    [IMG]

Again, 8 year old paint, rear of car
    [IMG]

Who would have thought you can spend over $4000 on an engine and still end up looking as bone stock as ever, lol
    [IMG]

Ebay header wrapped up, and ready for some supercharging, :D Don't let anyone tell you that you need a brand name header, they all work just about the same, assuming they have the same design. These never broke since install. :D
    [IMG]

    L.E.D strip
    [IMG]

Drag wheels. I like drag and tenzo, and Modular concept, and ADR, and Work, and BBS and some i can't remember right now. Not a fan of Rays though, fugly wheels, imo.

Tint. I got ripped off. LLumar. $350. Anti static etc etc etc.

almost Finished headlight L.E.D. I plan on smoking the engine headlight assembly.

Stuff you may need to do the L.E.D modification.

$220 wasted. CEL comes on, and you need to relocate Main Fuse box and driver side headlight fuse box. If you have a 2002 - 2008 corolla, I will give it to you for $150, shipping included.

    Random TRD logo on hood/bonnet.

You spend over $800 on a stupid exhaust system and it still rusts up anyway. LAME.

That's it for now, will post L.E.D at night. I have TRD spoiler and Rear Valence coming in, will install and take a picture.

I took the car to a custom paint shop and they said $3000 to perfect my paint and car for me. ......

L.E.Ds at night. Can't see the L.E.Ds in picture with headlight on, but in reality it's quite visible and looks VERY different from this.

Remove the pinstripes down the sides. And is that a dent on the left fender? Any plans for a front lip?

That's the plan. I hate those pinstripes, and yes it's a dent, i stepped on the car about 5 years ago, lol. It wasn't mine then, but apparently karma as a great sense of humor.

As for front lip, i already bought the G-Tech front lip. I am not sure if i will use it for 02 front conversion(I don't see the point of spending $1000 and then end up still looking stock), or have phan make that hybrid bumper for me, or just stick it on the 2000 front end, remove that middle bar and call it a day.....who knows?
