FIXED! Annoying dash rattle

If you have an annoying dash rattle that goes away when you put your hand on the center of the dash under the windshield, I believe I found the fix.


Take out the center dash piece that contains the clock, 2 center air vents, and has the opening for the radio. You will see this:



That thing in red is a ripped up piece of foam coaster. Stick that under the bunch of wires there to level the harness up and the rattle disappears. It turns out that the junction box for the wires is loose the will rattle. It will stop when you put your hand on top of the dash because it dampens the vibrations. Putting this piece of foam in there pushs the wire harness up and closes the gap between dash and junction box.
