    anyone know what the best cleaning solution for an engine bay is?

    is it pretty safe to just blast it up in there? jus be careful to watch out for certain things?

    I pop the hood, squeeze the trigger and go to town. Don't spray the intake, ziploc bag it first. :)

    If you are really worried about potentially damaging something - then you could always use the rag approach. Not spraying down anything at all. Take a bit longer than hosing everything down - but still works pretty well.

    If you do use a pressure washer - just use common sense. Don't hose down the electricals, alternator, sparkplug wells, etc.

    I use simple green and a garden hose. but, can't use it at full strength or it eats paint, diluted it does the job & it's biodegradable.

    dude, go to Wal-Mart and buy a spray bottle of SuperTech Degresser foam. I will absolutly guarantee you that your car will be as clean as it was the first day you bought it.

    I used purple power and a small wires brush for the aluminum and a small brush that they sell in Auto Zone .... Its a three small brush kit.... And a power washer...

    I don't clean mine either. It just keeps on getting dirty again. I hardly open hood anyways besides for oil changes.
