I'm stuck! The dang mount that I bought doesn't have a hole big enough to let the MAFS through! Its about a mm smaller in dia.... I don't know if I can find another one, this itself took me forever to find. Right now, I'm planning to find a crappy MAFS from a junkyard and try forcing it through.

Use a dremel and bore it out a little.

you could've used that existing hole, as the hole for the mafs. that's what i did. look at my pics. i drew a square around the non-vvti hole mafs for cutting so that i wouldn't have to patch it or perform another crappy weld job just to cover it. lol4

Look at my pix. My CAI was for a VVT-i engine and was modified for use with a non-VVT-i engine. The original hole for the MAFS was sealed and another hole was bored very close to it. I couldn't cut ou a square like you did coz
    1. I don't have another intake from which I can cut parts out and use
    2. Even if I did have another intake and I used the mount from it like you did, I would not have been able to make it work coz the original MAFS mount (that was sealed up) is too close and too big to fit anything around it.
