It saved my $$$. Because I was not aware that he was behind the tctunerz buisness. And I was going to order some parts from there for my g/f new TC. I am an OG back from C3 days, and I remember his rain of scandal over the message boards.

yeah I didn't even know until I read a thread on scionlife about it. As soon as I saw what people were talking about I knew exactly what it was and who. I don't know about it having to be global, I think the fact that it spans a slew of different states in the U.S. alone should be good enough to grab attention. The problem is that if only one or two people complain it won't do much but if everyone or at least a majority of the people ripped off by him do it will get some attention. Please if you or anyone you know have been file a complaint at - http://www.ifccfbi.gov/index.asp -

Let anyone you know who plans on shopping there not to also

hot damn, his name will probably forever revolve around the corolla community.. yea i remember him. back when i first got my rolla and had it on cardomain, he emailed me saying he was starting a club.. c3 hadn't been opened up yet.. but yea.. he's a scam artist.. if u don't know, you should know, that shits been going on for years.. at least with c3 started off with body kits strut bars and some other stuff, some people would get it, some people wouldn't... here's the trick.. if he liked you, you got it.. me, he liked me.. so, i never had a problem.. in fact, i accidentally scammed him once.. sent him a back echeck.. so he got nothing, i paid $12.50... ironic...

but yea... just stay away from D... unless ur a cali blonde looking for an easy lay...

not to mention.. i honestly doubt he has enough $$$ and real property to be used to take away from him to file a lawsuit.. you're gonna waste your time and your money... you'd honestly be better off paying someone to knock him off and steal whatever he has, but i wouldn't suggest doing that, cause then you'll be lower than him (not to mention its illegal)

That is likely true, but nonetheless, have the courts take away what he DOES have. Thats the point, he should suffer for what he's done. The problem here is getting everyone organized. I am however suprised how many people don't just take him to small claims court.

small claims would be great if I lived in cali or he lived in florida, since he doesn't and I don't its very near impossible. Hes not coming over here, and my job doesn't allow the time to go there so it would never work

Easier said than done. Besides the $$ you would spend + that lost from work would make it not worth it.

its like any civil case you can build the price of what you want to sue at as long as you can document it

Yeah, but if he loses, hes out that time off work, and the travel costs, etc.
He says that he cant afford to take the time off work, that his job wont let him.

Matt, READ READ READ. You get pissed that I call you out, but you do it to yourself, and ya make it SOOOOOOO easy that half of your replies dont make sense, and you dont read the entire thread before replying. (Perfect example here: http://www.vvt-i.net/forum/showthread.php?t=1846)

This thread has made me and probably others more aware of how primative the laws are on the Internet. I thought online shopping was becoming more safe...

In theory, any one of us could with a computer and some time do what dwuayne has done. No experience neccessary. And nobody can stop them. And if caught, the penalties are minor. That's like easier than growing pot in my backyard ;P

Trust me guys if I could go over there I would front the money out of pocket and cut my losses (I'm used to cutting losses anyways). But, i'm in the military and time is not on my side. I would have followed through more back in 01-02 time frame but I was sent to korea and then Iraq so I haven't had time to deal with it. Everytime I try to it seems like the military just knows and says hey you gotta go. Thats why i'm going the way of the ifcc that way I can work over the net so if I get sent somewhere that has it I can continue from there.

You go boy!!, I have NOT gotten scammed by him, but I've lost money on ebay and other on-line auctions. I know how it feels, Also I had lost $2,500.00 on an internet deal that went sour, but thanks to my LAW ENFORCEMENT BACKGROUND, I got my money back and put the guy in jail as well. Internet fraud is a very serious crime, he will get jail time for that, and it's at a Federal level, there is no plea bargaining with the Feds, The US Attorney General (will be prosecuting his case) does not plea! I hope you can get information on this guy and the cooperation of the people who he scammed.

Now that I think about it, Duwayne was also doing something with the Tiburon community when he left C3. I think he was 'getting' CF hoods made or something with the owner of the site. I bet if you post there some more people will come forward.

If you know what city he lives in, I would contact the local newspapers and television stations. I think they would be interested in reporting about a local guy using websites to scam people.

Where I live, our main local news stations all have these reports once a week about things just like this happening in the local area about business scamming people, or pastors going to strip clubs, etc...

Find out if he hosts his own sites or if a third party does it, if so give their name to the reporters.

I think that would be your first avenue to try, and then maybe some local lawyers may see $$ in going after this guy. But I think the first thing is to get him some negitive publicity locally.

But really you need to be a victim of his to go after him.

Only thing with contacting the media is that it would be a long while until they actually went public with a story. Too much liability without doing a lot of research on it.
