If you go to Firestone they should have it there, call and check.

It cost me .... 60 per tire for alignment and 175 for lifetime alignment. All were at -2.1 camber. That's horrid for my $100 a piece tire

NO! 60 dollars a tire for alignment?

you got ripped off, les schwab does alignment for the front 55 bucks, the rear is 60-70.

Camber kits are cheap and one time use only. Once tightened, you can't adjust them later without having to buy a new kit. I would prefer rear camber plates, but pricey.

Why do you even need negative rear camber? I'm tucked in the rear and I don't rub. Did you roll the fenders all the way? As in flush against the sides.

Most conventional tire shops won't touch aftermarket suspensions or adjust them for you. You'll have to find a speed a shop that also does alignments and such. That's where I had to go to get my car aligned. Even speed shops might not want to adjust the camber for you to an extent. Just be prepared to pay a little more for an custom alignment. Gotta pay to play.

Can you post a pic of your fenders? I know I've asked you about rolling the fenders before, and then I rolled mine. But mine bent in the middle of the lip, and I thought that was enough. I still rub. Can you roll part of it flat and leave the bottom part stock? I have mudflaps and don't want to take them off.

they should have camber kits??? so you told them you wanted -2.1 camber and they put in a kit and set it up for you? what car was this for?

oh i have no fenders in the rear yet i still rub, i think cause of how low i am maybe? not sure but yea the plates are pricey, ill stick with the kits and im fine using it once since theyre like $20. Any good ones out there?

Are you rubbing on the fender or Strut mount?

right , and also a shop shouldnt turn you down for aftermarket suspension either. it all works the same in terms of adjustability. just set your front camber plates and ride height where you want them before you go. other than that? ive seen shops turn down airbagged vehicles because they cant warrenty their work with the stress of up and down constantly, and not being on the setting the tires were aligned all the time.

also dont pay more than $80 for a 4-wheel alignment , anymore than that and your getting ripped a new one.

It' s really not that big a deal. Just stop by any firestone, discount tire, or goodyear, you know,.... those kinds of shops that sell tires and tell them, I want an alignment. They will look at it and print a sheet for you that tells you all sorts of wonderful things about your tires like the toe, camber, caster and more for each one.

The factory recommended settings should be written on there too.
If you need camber, they will tell you and should carry the little camber bolts in stock.
At Firestone where i did mine, it was 60 a piece; 30 labor, 30 item price.

After lowing my 00 corolla, they showed me the paper, and a lot of them where all over -2.1 camber. The recommend is maximum -1.4 or something in that range. If you aren't rubbing in the rear and don't give a shit about your tires, don't mess with the camber, but if you do care about your tire then tell them to set your camber to -1 or less, aka -1, -.9, -.8 etc.

More information? Read up here. Very VERY informative.

haha, rice can. Those coffee mugs do increase horsepower. It was in an Import Tuner article. They pulled the dtm style exhaust and put a rice can axle back and guess what? It gained 2 - 3 hp.

hm I would think it gains some power but maybe 1 or 2 at the most. I wonder how much power my full system gained (header, 2.25in. tubing, Magnaflow muffler). I can't find exact numbuers becasue its custom but I'm guessing around a 5hp gain. I know I felt a difference but it wasn't drastic. Car looks good btw. Those rims would look great on my car lol. What is the offset on those?

a full catback designed for a car specifically, will always give more horsepower gain than just changing individual parts of the exhaust system. Minimum of 10hp on a 1.8l engine, to the wheels.

Or much less. I'm guessing 5 hp for a cat back.

naha, don't think 10hp gain. I would have to dyno it to be sure but I'm guessin maybe 5hp gain at the wheels if that. The rolla stock exhaust is pretty free flowing, I just opened it up a bit. Not much of a gain.
