I don't get it.... what's wrong with the side skirts? Other than they are bulky? How did you "modify" them?

I just used a dremel with a cutting wheel and trimmed 1 inch from the skirts so that they are even with the fenders of the corolla, the blue is the amount i trimmed from the skirts. They are not finished...

When i paint the car i will remove the fenders and paint them off the car and then once installed painted, i will mount the side skirts properly and mold them to the fenders....

I will use some sealer to mold the skirts on the inside of the car to the body.

should come out decent looking but it looks a hell of alot better, hated those bulky ass side skirts, im the first guy that trimmed the skirts for this gay ass body kit:D and 10th gen fog light on the front bumper!

hmmm, do you have a before and after? When I think "bulky", I think sticking too far off the car... so did you modify them to fit closer to the car, or just line up better inside the fenders. I had those same side skirts, but they were such poor quality that they stayed in my attic. That is until I had to install one of them when my other side skirt blew off on the highway lol... so one's painted, and the other is still primer green, and they are still in the attic lol.

The reason I never liked that body kit (it is identical for the 7th and 8th gen) is the flare on the bottom of the front bumper sticking off looking bulky lol.

check post 149, 2 before pictures there when green color, and i know what your talking about the flare at the bottom front, i think it does not match with the whole body, its stupid, maybe ill modify it, i basically butchered this front bumper already...

and they are poor quality, fiberglass is poor quality, it dont matter if you drive carfully, you will get hairline cracks...

blew off on the highway? did it hit another car? LOL

so, do you have any after pics? And you cut off the red part, leaving the blue part?

Fiberglass isn't necessarily poor quality if done right. By poor quality, I meant that it doesn't fit AT ALL. It was too long and didn't have any mounting points or anything. At least parts for the IS300 are actually designed for the car.

That's funny, yours were green, too!

Here's mine, as they are now.

i dont have any side by side before and after pictures but i will take some of how i cut them later today

ok you see where the red ends inside? it suppose to be lining up with the arch from the fender, notice the hole? thats how i previously had them mounted. the blue is the distance that i cut

fiberglass is poor, shit will crack easily, you can make it stronger but it will crack...

i think most ebay body kits are green LOL

ummm why didn't you return the skirts! should have complained lol

Ah, so you cut the skirts shorter under the doors so they could sit flusher? It looks the same to me in every pic lol.

I didn't return them cause I got them for like $90 on Ebay, and I figured that's how they all were, so it's not like I could have exchanged them for better ones.
