DIY Replacement Door Handles Inside & Out Corolla 93 - 97

This is a DIY of both inside & outside door handles .

Basically you unscrew the inside old door handle and with your new inside door handle you put it back on make sure you clip the plastic yellow clip to the rod or else over time it will pop out .

Once you clipped the plastic on the rod you gently screw the screw back with out over tightening or else the inside of the handle will crack . Make it snug but secure .

Now the DIY of the outside door handle .

First you remove the inside door handle again unclip the plastic clip , Make sure when you put the door back together that this clip gets back on .

Then with a flat head screw driver you lift up the arm rest piece to expose the two screws holding the arm rest to the door .

Then you remove the triangle plate for the outside mirror .

Then you remove the plastic shield , Make sure you put this back on it is there for a reason .

Then you unplug the power window motor switch .

Then you unscrew the two bolts on the inside that hold the outside handle .

As shown in the photo the white arrow is a yellow clip with your finger all you have to do is unclip this . The red arrow is for the lock you do not have to unclip that

With a flath ead screw driver once you unclip that clip you pop out the door handle rod . Make sure you put this clip back on when you put the new handle in .

Once you remove all that then you lift up on the whole handle and pull it out and then in reverse you put it all back together .

This is what it will look like when you are all finished .
