DIY DIY: How To Replace Your Passenger Side Engine Mount (98-02)

    DIY: How To Replace Your Passenger Side Engine Mount (98-02)

    Materials required:
    Floorjack
    Pry bar
    14MM socket wrench
    12MM socket wrench
    10MM socket wrench
    Long socket extension
    Passenger side engine mount Toyota part #12305-0D010(Middle one in the picture)

    Instructions:
    1) Place your floorjack under the car on the oil pan. Gently raise it to support the engine.

    2) Take off the windshield washer fluid containter. It is held by one 10MM bolt in red. Then wiggle it out.

    3) Take off this 12MM bolt circled in red behind the washer fluid container.

    4) Take off this 14MM bolt circled in red beside the washer fluid container.

    5) Take off this 14MM bolt circled in red near the power steering fluid container.

    6) Take off the 14MM bolt circled in red and the two 14MM nuts circled in blue. The nuts are hidden underneath the bracket.

    7) Wiggle the mount out. Reinstall your new mount using your prybar and lower/raise the floorjack to position the bolts in place.

    Here's the old mount, you can tell if the mount is bad by looking at the condition of the rubber at top of the bolt.
