DIY: How To Replace The Driver's Side Engine Mount (98-02)

So when you are shifting or just taking off and you hear...Clunk! Clunk! Clunk!
Well, it's probably one of your engine mounts gone bad. Here is how to replace the driver's side mount.

    Materials needed:
    1) 14 MM box wench
    2) 14MM wench
    3) Toyota part #12372-0D010 LH Engine Mounting Insulator
It is the right most mount in the picture below.

    Instructions:
    1) You want to stick a jack under your transmission to support the transmission while you take the mount off.

    2) Remove the battery and airbox/intake so you can see and get to the engine mount.

    3) Take off the nut in the long bolt that goes through the mount and bracket. Then pull out bolt. Now remove the 2 bolts circled in red.

    4) This is the new mount pictured. This is the position the new mount needs to be positioned to drop in.

    5) Remove the last two bolts that are holding the mount in place. They are kind of hidden on the sides of the framerail and only a box wench can access the bolts. These bolts are circled in red from how they are installed in the car.

    6) Out comes the mount! Now drop that new mount in and reverse the steps! Below are pictures of how bad my 11 years old mounts were.
