    DIY Bumper Auxiliary Brake Light...

this is an old post over at vvti.net, just wanted to share it with you guys again...

    material needs:

rectangle brake light (this one is from a VW, hahaha, so much for jdm, hehehehe...)
    masking tape
    electric tape
    pencil
    circular electric saw
    bulb and socket
    electrical wires

located where you wish to put your brake light... use tape and pencil to do your markings...

then, time to bore that hole...

you could have a different wiring for this or tap it in your tail light... make sure you tap it in your desired use for the brake light... either auxiliary brake light, turbo light, whatever...

here's how it looks at day time...

    how bout some night shots?

i dont like the word "gay"... because these days when someone says "It looks gay" I start to think to myself "will an actual gay guy really like it?" in this case, I highly doubt that a gay guy would like to drive a car with a third brake light therefore its not gay.. haha

it would look better on the front.

in the rear im thinking the circle ones like on the 10th gen but one of them reverse would look good.

well, someone started to use the word gay... after my initial post in this thread... then i sued it as well...

then i over read the rules... regading the use of the gay word... oh well... we do make mistakes don't we...

my bad for using it in this context... my bad... my apologies...

proally regarding the altezza tails, just got tired of them and most jdm ae101's use stock... so, i opted to go for 97 stock tails instead...

a turbo light looks similar as to what i put my rear bump, only it activates when the turbo kicks off, in the case maybe for mistubishi galant's 4g63t powered engine...

anyways, at the end of the day, to each is own... what may seem ricey to some, may not be entirely correct for others...

points to consider... if you don';t like what i've done in my ride, that's fine with me, its all good...

    peace...

I think the new 10th gen corollas would look really nice if you shaved the trunk of the reverse lights and re-routed them to those stupid reflectors on the bottom of the bumper. I know thats off topic but I just really wanna see it done.
