    now to be serious. 2.5 is the biggest pipe i would run on a N/A 4 cylinder engine (except a certain few, like honda's k24 and nissans ka24 to name a few). the ones i listed, along with a handful of others MAKE more power with a 3in exhaust vs a 2.5. a BONE STOCK nissan ka24e/de will make in the range of 16whp from said exhaust. a bit more with header and test pipe. but these engines have the displacement to need a pipe that big. the move a lot more air. remember, making power is all about moving air. the engine is nothing more than a internal combustion air pump.

    2.5 is also the smallest pipe i would run on ANY forced inducted app. regardless of engine size. 2.5in on a boosted app, taps out around the 400-450 range. 3in in the 600's. a bit less with n'a apps since there is less exhaust gas energy.
