Another question. Will it change the position of the throttle body? I really don't want to get rid of my ELP CAI.

I don't believe the position of the throttle will change much. So you should be able to use your ELP CAI but if anything, you may have to take an inch or two off of it to make it fit. By the looks of the photo, the throttle hasn't moved much from the stock position. But I'll be calling Robin tomorrow and talking with him about all this stuff and more. I'll also be talking with him about possibly using you for the guinea pig. So once I get more info I'll be sure to give the update.

I'll keep you posted on this position. But as it stands, rollatuner110 has first dibs on the guinea pig application.

it would be nice to get a plug and play set up for this. Unichip would be a good start. With the Unichip set up, you would be required to do tuning like you do with the Split Second option. But with Split Second, you can tune it for more power where as the Unichip is preprogramed and can not be changed. The only thing with Unichip, is that they don't currently carry a set up for a supercharged 98-2000 Corolla. Inorder to get a Unichip set up, you would have to go to a authorized Unichip tune center and have them make one for you set up. This may require a guinea pig but I'm not a hundred percent positive on this. I'll contact them on Monday and find out.

Correction, Unichip does not require tuning like the Split Second set up does. Unichip is a plug and play set up. The only thing is that a Unichip set up would need to be created for the 98-2000 supercharged Corolla. And like I said, "I'll be contacting them on Monday to find out exactly what we have to do to get one made for this.

If I happen to not be able to be a guinea pig, fastswimmerguy can be next up in line. Everything's up in the air right now.

Being the spammer that I am, I spammed up TRD forums and TN. There seems to be some interest at TRD forums. No response from TN just yet. :D

I got a question from a member at TRD forums about where the pulley is located. I told him it has to be on the left hand side where the accessory belt is, but looking at the pictures, I can't really see how it would work either. Can you get some pictures of the left side of the motor where the alternator and belt are?

I don't see where the pulley could be driven on the new charger. The TRD one extends over the alternator while the new one runs butt to butt with the alternator with no overhang on the top for the pulley... ??? Maybe that's just the unfinished prototype model perhaps?

technically, you can sell these to the 9generation corolla forum members also since I think TRD discontinued the 1.8 superchargers.
