yepz, I guess in my situation is not bad cause I earn $1100 a month and considering I pay minor bills I guess is not bad, it's this whole insurance thing that threw me off sync this month due to the fact that they raised it again so my mom already talked to her lawyer to see what's going on cause they keep raising and lowering the insurance every month is ridiculous..... hopefully I can find someone that can give me a cheaper quote and now that I turn 18 here soon too so hopefully that will help so I can get started on the project :D

Why would a lawyer need to get involved?

well because of the fact that the insurance company is pratically taking advantage of us and dood over 300 in a month in more than one occasion dood that's not normal, my record is clean and my mom's too and they're still charging above 200, which I called another insurance company and they asked me how much I was paying and I told them 260/month but there's times the bill gets here and says 340-350 and she says whoa that sounds like scam and rip off to me..... so I dk man I just want to find a new insurance company that gives me a fair quote cause hell it's like a car payment what I'm paying right now

So many holes......having a clean record doesnt mean shit when youre 17. Youre 17! 300 a month isnt too bad for a 17 year old. And you turning 18 wont change much. Its the age of 25 that your rates will go down.

If everyone contacted their lawyers to complain about their car insurance being too high..well.....

it's a little late, but whatever....I can see your point on it not making any sense raising the gas to help the hurricane victims, but like vortex said, it's so the exec's of the fuel companies dont lose any money over this. still feeling cold hearted and just have to add this. They have raised over $225 million to help the hurricane victims of new orleans...and guess what...they're still asking for MORE!! I say boycott fund raising for the hurricane victims until the gas goes down to $2.50-$2.75 for 91 octane. fuck them, fuck the companies, fuck our government....

    my rant's done...

Well I hope for your sake, you dont ever need help, cuz you wouldnt deserve it.
Boycott fund raising so you can save a few bucks at the gas station? Talk about selfish!

lol....like anyone would help anyone unless there was media attention anyways...it's nothing personal to the people, it's just that when they hit a height they should just stop mass advertising and just rely on other type of advertising. there's donation sites everywhere. but like i said yesterday, i was feeling very cold hearted...

and when I hear that the gas prices go up due to the hurricane, how does that help the hurricane victims? are the rate hikes being used as donations towards the victims? they never said, if it were, then I wouldn't care. But after this whole deal is over, do u honestly think the prices will go down? another reason I'm pissed about the prices also is because I now have to find a new job and can't afford to drive all over creation to find another one. It costs $33-$37 to fill my tank, and that's in a corolla....that's pathetic..

Prices have gone up due to the fact that the hurricane affected that region greatly.....they didnt raise prices to help the victims of the hurricane.
And yes, once everything gets straightened out, Im sure the gas prices will start to go back down.

How many times per week do you fill up your car? You complain that you cant afford it now, but its actually only another 12 bucks a week if ya fill up once, 25 if you fill up twice.

I fill up once a week if I squeeze it, twice if I go out and actually do something with life. When you have a high car payment and your work schedule and paycheck flucuate (sp?) alot, your cash flow is quite low with bills draining everything out of you, not to consider gas is now pricey.

reason why that certain section is in bold is because that was promised to us in Bush's last term when gas went up to $2.00/gal. He did a great job in lowering it back down to $1.80/gal..NOT. Bush is a jackass that only cares about making his family and his friends rich and making the poor suffer. Don't get your hopes up that gas is gonna go back to it's original price and stay, it may go back for a month at max, but it'll jump back up to where it is now and continue to grow.

if the hurricane impacted that region...shouldn't gas prices go down due to a drop in consumption? I just don't understand that they would rise due to lose in consumption. The supply is there, but the demand was negatively impacted.

Just found this and thought it would be interesting....

Ah, I get it now. Your anti Bush. That explains a lot.
The affected area's ports move a large fraction of the nation's imports, including critical oil and gas supplies, and about half its exports of agricultural commodities such as corn and soyabeans.
Action Economics, a market-analysis firm, has already nudged its forecast for GDP growth down to 4.4 per cent from 4.6 per cent for the current (third) quarter.

The Gulf of Mexico provides about a 10th of all the crude oil consumed in the US, and almost half the petrol produced in the country comes from refineries in the states along the gulf's shores. Oil companies are busy assessing how much damage was done to drilling rigs, refineries and port facilities; but even if the infrastructure is largely intact, shipping delays threaten to idle refinery production.

Some economists fear extensive shutdowns of oil and gas production could push the economy to the brink of recession.

Europe could also be hit by rising prices for petrol and heating oil. That would weaken another of Asian exporters' main markets and leave the global economy little refuge if American demand were to stutter.

What about Iraqi oil? Didn't we take control of their oil supply basically? The refineries down in the Gulf I can understand having an effect, but they can still import, just relocate the port that they bring it all in at.

I don't know if the economists know this or not, but aren't we already in a recession?

We changed our reservations to the Marriott downtown on California Street, near 16th street. Wanted to be downtown and not worry about taking a cab to and fro the hotel. We're also staying until Tuesday now, cuz I got tickets to the 4th night as well.
